When I was about 6 weeks I started to cramp and bleed. I called and they told me to wait it out but that if I hadn't had a miscarriage by Mon to call for an u/s. I hadn't so I got an u/s. The baby was there, with a beautiful heartbeat. They wanted to see me in a week. So I came back had and u/s with a heartbeat again. Im still bleeding, probably worse then before with lots and lots of clots. Then I went to a christian concert and I felt a clot so I decided I needed to go to the bathroom. Well the clot was huge. So I took it out of the toilet (sorry tmi) and looked at it. It was just blood. So I called the dr. and they had me come in for another u/s. It was fine, baby still had a heart beat. So Im almost 8 weeks by this point. I have another u/s scheduled for the next week. So I go on, still bleeding, but hopefull. My next u/s I went in and there was no heartbeat. It had passed right after my last appt.
So I called my dh and told him on the phone. Then I went home and told my kids. They told me it would take up to 2 weeks to pass the baby. SO I waited. Then one night I started having tissue with my clots. I fished them out and figured that this was it. My bleeding slowed down and I went to the dr. and gave them the tissue. She told me it looked like that was it. So I went home. This was on a Wens. The next monday I just was not feeling good. I had a meeting at my home for one of my kids. I barely made it through the meeting. As soon as they left I went to the bathroom. I was bleeding so bad. They told me that if I was bleeding through a pad every hour that I needed to be seen. So I waited, about 10 min. later I went to the bathroom. I was passing huge clots. I called the Dr. the office had just closed so they paged my call. I waited and went to the bathroom 3 more times. Still bleeding extreemly bad. Called again. They appologized and paged it again. I went another 4 times, still gushing blood. By this time my dh came home and told me that we are going to the hospital. So I said ok, let me go to the bathroom one more time. I went and the baby came out.
After that the bleeding slowed. I felt better and was able to rest.
I bled for about 2 weeks after that. My cycle regulated right away.
It was so hard waiting for my baby to pass. Then to have them tell me it had when it really hadn't, then not to get phone calls back. I finally did after 2 hours. The pager was broken. It was very difficult to go through. But the physical healing was very easy and took no time at all.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write about your experience. Not all women feel comfortable but by sharing you are giving a little bit of yourself so that other women can know what to expect.
