I took a home pregnancy test on January 17. It was positive. I called my boyfriend and told him that I was pregnant. We were not trying to conceive, because I am only 18 years old, and my boyfriend is only 19 years old, but we decided to keep our baby and do our best to be good parents. I started bleeding on Wednesday, January 29. It was brown and everyone I asked said that brown spotting was normal, so I didn't worry too much. On Thursday, January 31, the bleeding started getting worse so I took another home pregnancy test. It was still positive. On Friday, February 1, I had my first doctor's appointment at 2:40 p.m. My doctor examined me and said that my cervix was open, and that I had a threatened miscarriage, but that my baby still had a chance. She told me to go home and rest and drink lots of water. So I went home and drank a bottle of water and lay down on my bed. The bleeding continued to get worse and I started having cramps. At 8:15 pm, the cramps were severe; I went to the bathroom and I immediately felt a large clot pass. It landed in the toilet, so I couldn't keep it and take it to my doctor to have it examined. I didn't want to anyway. I have another doctor's appointment tomorrow (Monday).
