Please don't forgot to include your steps...which program you used and how you did the edit (as this was the purpose of this editing contest....to learn different techniques and steps to edit in photoshop or what not) Cause I've been noticing I've been the only one doing this... Thanks ladies~!!

I use PS CS3 and all I did to this photo was smooth her skin a little using the healing tool. I tweeked the colors a bit to get a Vibrant appearance and then converted to B&W and cropped.

Here's my take:

Steps using PS3 & Totally Rad Actions:
Dodged the eyes to brighten it up
Then I ran these actions: Super Fun Happy, Oh Snap!, and Prettyzier
Lastly I vignetted the edges

My many steps using PS CS:
adjusted contrast
duplicated adjusted contrast layer and created a mask to adjust hue/saturation in the eyes
painted a shade of blue over the eyes with brush at 5% opacity, dodged the eyes at 5% exposre
desaturated the original layer
copied my contrast adjusted layer placed it just above unsaturated layer and created a mask
set the opacity level on the layer to 25% and painted lips and facial color ot of the mask
copied the adjusted contrast layer again and brought that layer all the way to the top and created a mask
painted out the sheet pattern, pillow border and bib pattern, set layer opacity at 30%
edited out the bit of pattern on pillow behind her head
used the burn tool around the edges

Ok, here's mine.

I did a curves adjustment to lighten. Lightened the eyes with a second curves adjustment. Ran the unsharp mask, then duplicated the layer and selected the eyes and ran an unsharp mask again. I used the dodge tool on the eyes and then finally, I softened the skin a bit with a surface blur.

I do have to say though, that pic of Parker is adorable!! LOL I could tell it was Sarah's little Parker just by a glance!! LOL OK off to edit it.

I am a total newbie and cant use photoshop to save my life. But I really like how this edit lightens and shows catchlight in the eyes and leaves the skin a really natural color.

Nice work!

2. Curves adjustment to fix exposure
3. Color balance (removed red cast)
4. Eye bump - brightened eyes, removed blue cast in whites
5. Skin smoother - removed blemishes
6. Cloned out pin lights in eyes
7. Burned edges

Here is mine! I forgot to write down all of my steps (oops!) but the basics are listed below

Bumped curves on entire photo
Adjusted contrast, lightness, and saturation
Cropped
Used the blur tool to further blur the background behind the baby
Used the spot healing brush on her skin
Used the blur tool to soften her skin, especially around eyes and nose
Used the burn and dodge took slightly around the lips
Selected eyes and used unsharpen mask
In that layer (eyes only) I further adjusted brightness, saturation, and hue
I also burned and dodged the eyes

Dodge the eyes
Define and Sharpen action opacity 20%
Flatten

Um, I think we seriously need to have a Photoshop tutorial class or something!!!!

And thanks, Kellie! I guess you could say she has a very distinguishable face!

Here's mine.....

What I did:
Adjusted the levels to my liking
Slightly adjusted hue/saturation to my liking
Used blur tool on 100% to blur out more of the background and on her scratches and then on 40% on her bib/outfit and
Unsharp masked her eyes
Brightened/contrasted her eyes
Slight hue eye adjustment
Dodged her whites of her eyes
Burned her pupils and eyelashes
I also cropped it a bit
Did a slight unsharp mask to the whole photo
Added a layer and used blending mode overlay
