How do you add a soft glow in photoshop? I swear I learned at one point, and now I cant remember lol. Also - how do you make something look sparkly/twinkly? (Lights, jewelry, etc).

Thanks! Can you guys tell Im spending all my time catching up on photo editing tonight? lol.

Thanks! Ive been using that, but I was hoping to make the christmas lights on some christmas tree photos really twinkly. It doesnt seem to be giving me the effect I want. I know it can be done with a filter, but I really dont want to buy the filter just yet (hoping "santa" brings it lol).

As far as the twinkly lights goes, I don't have any suggestions, but for the soft glow, duplicate the layer, apply a gaussian blur (change the settings to suit) and reduce the opacity til you're happy, then merge the two layers.

Duplicate layer -when you look at layers at the bottom right of the screen and below that there is box that changes the light and change to opacity to suit, then merge the layers back
