TMI ahead.

So we're avoiding this month. We hadn't DTD lately and I've been wanting to pounce on Dh and I did so tonight. Well in the heat of the moment he forgot that he was supposed to pull out. I remembered and withdrew (I was on top), but Dh thinks maybe a little bit of it got in there. Not sure.

Sooo...I guess there's a small chance for this month.

I had a moment like that last cycle when we were preventing. Part of me really wanted to have an oopsie but the other part of me freaked out because I wasn't on any of my meds! Is it the vaccine that might hurt a baby or is it because of the slim chance you will get rubella before the vaccine kicks in?

Since it is a live vaccine, there is a theoretical risk that the baby could have congenital rubella syndrome. I say theoretical because they have never found any cases where pregnant women getting the vaccine has ever caused any cases of CRS. (From all the studies of women who took the vaccine and didn't know they were pregnant at the time.) I'm also using topical steroids for my rash (which is better but still not totally gone) so it's better to wait because of that too.

I'm not too freaked out about, but I know it would be better to wait till all this is over. But I guess if it happens, then I know it was really meant to be. I know the odds of getting an oopsie are very slim considering we have had perfect BD timing and everything for 9 cycles and BFNs every time.

Isn't it crazy how our minds work? Like if we are TTC for so long and we time BDing perfectly we still have doubts as to whether we were successful but as soon as we don't want to be pg for whatever reason and have an oopsie we think OMG I might be pregnant! How funny is that!

Well just to keep it in perspective though - many of us did get pg when we weren't planning to - I am one of them! I HOPE your OOPSIE does work out to be a good oops!

I hope so too but now that I have thought about it, it feels like I probably jinxed it.
