Last cycle was a bust so I have to take a cycle off between injectable cycles anyway so I decided it was a good time to try and lose some weight. In the last year I have gained about 20 pounds because basically I have been depressed and not doing much but sitting on my couch and wasting away time. I have an appt with my RE on the 13th to discuss what is going on. I think losing some weight will really help us because I am at a high risk for diabetes and I know the weight gain hasn't helped us out any. I am going to ask for a glucose tolerance test to see if I have any insulin resistance that could be our problem. As far as how long our break will be...I will just take it one cycle at a time and see when I am ready.
I'm sorry last cycle wasn't successful for you. I can so identify with the weight gain during the ttc process. I know the injectible hormones don't help my waistline either. Losing weight will give you something else to focus on, a goal that you can actually control, which may lift your spirits. It's awesome that you are taking some time to care for yourself.
