I was just wondering if it was possible to have an opk that is dark enough to look positive after ovulation?

OPKs can be tricky because they be *almost* dark enough and it can be really hard to tell. Personally, I don't like OPKs because I vary so much with O that it costs me a fortune.

I'm just confused because this is the first month that I've tried temping and I forgot to start doing it until cd 11 so the temps probably won't tell me anything. I was using digital ovulation tests but the monitor thingie died so I was comparing the lines on the test from yesterday to my positive from last month but that one is faded so I can't tell if they were the same darkness. I just assumed it was positive but the one I used today was pretty faint so I'm thinking if I had a positive this month it would have been the day before yesterday. I wish I had remembered to temp from the beginning I don't think I'm going to bother with the opks anymore, they are just too frustrating.

Sorry for being confusing, I always start asking silly questions around this time of my cycle.

Even if you did not start temping until CD 11 you should still be able to see your 4 days of upwared thermal shift and then high temps to confirm you O'ed.

Go you have a chart we can look at?

I have never used OPK...that just cost more money!

Tell me if this works:

http://www.fertilityfriend.com/ttc/index.php

I took what I thought was a positive opk off but it was cd 14. My temp went up yesterday and stayed up today and I wanted to see what would happen if it was the same tomorrow as today so I put it in for tomorrow and it gave me cross hairs for cd 14 and then I took it out again. I guess I'll see what happens tomorrow morning.

Nope...it wants me to log in...

But if you have had 2 days of higher temps that is a good sign. If you temps stay high for 2 more days I think it is safe to say you O'ed on CD 14

I've used them, but only a brand provided by my doctor.. she wanted to see why I was having chemicals on the NuvaRing... cause I was ovulating. There is no reading them wrong... you only see a + line if you're ovulating if you're not, you only see the - line. But these are super hard to get, only certain doctors (ones who've served in the military) can get them easily.
