Test results are in!

Everything came back normal EXPECT one genetic test. I have 2 MTHFR mutations. He wants me to add folic acid, B6, and B12 a day in addition to the prenatal vitamin. Once I get pregnant, he wants to use blood thinners to help ensure that we don't m/c again.

That is great! I am heterozygous for MTHFR and Lovenox did the trick for me! I took extra folic acid, B6, and B12 (Folgard) and the Lovenox the entire pregnancy. I know it sounds weird but congratulations on something wrong! LOL Now you know what you need to do to fix it and have your miracle baby!

That's wonderful news that you've found out what is wrong! What exactly is MTHFR?

I'm hoping the vitamins do the trick!

Thanks, me too! This is the best link I've found so far. MTHFR is a genetic blood clotting disorder.

YAY! I'm glad they found something that may be causing this.

Now, tell Chris I said it's time to get the ball rolling, I need to see a BFP!

You have an answer!!!! How great that you now KNOW and KNOW what to do to correct it!

Did the doctor say when you could start TTC? Do you have to build up the B6 & B16 in your system 1st? Not sure how this works.

He never actually told us to wait (even when doing the testing), so we'll continue ttc. I did read that it can take a month or two to get the levels where they should be though.
