of OB's! I felt like I wasn't getting anywhere with my old OB, I wanted more tests done and I wanted them to take a more proactive approach and they weren't doing anything. I would have a m/c and all they would tell me is "wait, it will happen." Well, I swtiched OB's today, to a dr. who used to be at the old practice, but started her own practice somewhere else. Holy smokes, what a difference! First, she started going on about the tests they didn't take, testing for factor C, and factor s, then she agreed that my progesterone levels should be tested-something I was asking the old OB to do for months. She ordered u/s to check blocks in my tubes because I had an ectopic, she ordered u/s to check scarring or damage to my uterus, to check for polips, to check for fibroids, and cycts. Then, after she gets all the results back she said we could consider Comid to improve egg quality, or another drug (i forget what its called but it starts with a P, and its for regulating your periods-taken on cycle days 15-28). I want to jump for joy!!! This is so much more than my other OB office had done for me, and she said she just needs to do the detective work to figure out why I am having recurrent m/c, and once she figures it out it should be fairly simple to keep me pregnant. AND, I will see just her, that way my treatment will stay consistant. With my old OB's office it was nearly impossible to get to see them same OB every visit. This way I don't have to go through my history with each visit. I go back in 2.5 weeks for a follow up to get all my results back.

Awesome! Sounds like you have a great doctor! Looking forward to hearing more in two weeks.

Sound good. I also live in VA. What is the name of the doctor? I'm going through my second miscarriage and I will probably be switching OB.

petitange3, first, I'm sorry for your losses and that you had reason to find us. Welcome to the board. Second, where in VA do you live?

Thanks Augie. I also live in Fredericksburg. Do you know of a good OB/GYN in this area?

I'm so glad that you were able to make the switch! There is something so reassuring about having a doctor that you feel actually gives a crap. I really hope this one helps you to find some answers!
