Well, I've had quite the eventful week I must say. After a TOTALLY uneventful pregnancy Grace (or my body, who knows) decided to kick this pregnancy into high gear.

I went into L&D Monday because I was having some strange fluid leakage and contracting a little more. I also lost a huge bloody chunck of my mucus plug so I figured it'd be a good time to go get checked. I was sure that I'd be there for an hour or so being monitored and then I'd be right back home.

As soon as they hooked me up to the machines we immediately saw that I was contracting about every 2 minutes and they were some pretty strong contractions. We also discovered that I'm already 1cm dialated, 75% effaced and at a -1 station. A lot going on for only being 34 weeks! They also were unable to determine via the normal tests if all the fluid was indeed amniotic fluid or not so they decided to admit me for observation. They eventually performed an amnio on me to inject an indigo dye into her fluid so we could tell if that's what I was leaking. Thank God I haven't leaked any blue fluid so it's looking like it probably wasn't amnio fluid I was leaking. However, my contractions were still coming on strong but they didn't dialate me all day so they decided to let me go home provided I go back Tuesday night to be monitored again.

Tuesday everything looked good...I was still contracting every 2-5 minutes but my cervix hadn't changed at all. The only problem is that my BP was pretty high, especially for me. The doc on call ordered me some labs to determine if I have pre-e. I'm currently working on the 24 urine collection they wanted me to do and I tell you, that's some fun stuff. Anywho right now I'm at home just keeping an eye on things. I've been told at this point to just go back in if my contractions get closer than 3 minutes or less apart for longer than 30 minutes. It could be anyday now, or it could still be a few weeks. Either way it's getting close!

Please keep us in your T&Ps that I can hold off on having her until 37 weeks though, I want to give this little one every fighting chance!
