So when I got up yesterday and went to the bathroom i saw brownish/dark red blood when I wiped. Not a lot, but with my history, combined with the fact that i was supposed to fly out sunday evening for a business trip, i thought i would go to the er. I figured if I got there early in the morning i would be able to get out by early to mid afternoon. I was there for 11 hours. The hospital that is associated with my ob is a trI wasn't totally alarmed b/c i had just seen my bean last week and it was fine. There was no cramping and I knew that the size the baby is measuring, if something went wrong it would take weeks for me to start bleeding. When I got there, they did an u/s and the baby is doing fine - flipping around on the u/s screen with a strong 167 bpm heart beat and measuring exactly 9 weeks 6 days. There is a subchrionic bleed in my placenta that you can see on the u/s. The doctors seemed hopeful because the baby is doing so well and the bleed area is small. i had one before that ended badly (angel #3), but there was no hb when the bleed was discovered and I was measuring a week behind. But of course no flying and bedrest until the bleeding stops. I'm supposed to go back to the doc on Tuesday morning to get a repeat ultrasound. I'm more stressed out about missing my business trip this week. Not because I don't care about my bean I just have a real sense of calm about this pregnancy. I know all I can do is what the dr's tell me and the rest is out of my hands. I finally have a picture but since I'm on bedrest i can't scan it . I will next week when i get back to the office. Please keep me and my bean in your prayers. I can never get enough of those.

I am so sorry about the scare and the SCH. But yay for baby doing well anyway! I have seen a few girls here who have had them resolve on their own and the good thing is that it is small and you caught it early so you can keep an eye on it and take it easy.

I'm sorry that you had that scare, but I'm glad that you got a great shot of the baby doing just fine! Keep resting, and let us know how you are doing after your next doctor's visit!
