I figure since she's had RPL, I'm going to post updates in here!

Just got home from my aunt's 12 week scan. Well.. I'm in love with a little being who's 6.39cm long (2.5"). LOL... Tori was enthralled! "It's how big? I thought it was a peanut!" she said to me when I showed her on her hand how big her baby bub is. 6 year olds are adorable! They looked at a close up of the profile and left it up for a minute and I was showing her the jaw and spine, she was thrilled! Baby was even waving and opening its mouth!

Anyways, baby has two hands, two feet, a bladder, stomach, great looking little heart and brain! CRL=6.39cm her NT measurement was 2.04 60.5 percentile. Baby is small for it's age (11w ish) but Tori was small at the same age so they're not worrying. Didn't get the heartbeat today, but it was 150 yesterday on doppler at her OB appointment.

Next scan, JANUARY! EKKK! She's getting a 2nd scan at the High Risk clinic (she'll be 42 in 2 weeks) so that means.. GENDER SCAN! EEEKKKK!

Ok, I think I'm way to excited. But since the last ultrasound I went to was bad news.. this makes me feel like there is hope in the world!

I'm glad everything looks good! How cute, "I thought it was a peanut!" That is adorable! My niece is also 6, and I think that is a very cute age.

So, you get to go to a high-risk OB if you're 42? How about if you're 40? I'm very curious about this!

The tech explained to us that here that 30 is the new 25 and that anyone under 40 isn't really considered high risk unless there have been losses. But that anyone over 40 is considered high risk. If my aunt hadn't had losses, and Tori's labor hadn't been a little complicated they'd consider treating her as a regular patient, because she's not had any problems at all.

Did have a scare this weekend, she felt like she was having cramps... turns out, just round ligament pain. Thank goodness for a smart niece (me! ) and Google!

and yes.. her peanut comment was adorable. I can't wait until the next one (Jan 18th!!!!!) because by then it will be the size of a kitten. Right now, it's the size of an ipod! LMAO.. she loved that because she had my ipod in her hand at the time.

I can't wait for the update! How exciting! Glad the cramps turned out to be nothing. I have cramps often that feel like period cramps, but I think I remember having those when pg before & it turned out ok.

Thanks for the info on high risk! I guess that will be me. Good to know I can go with the same OB as last time, I liked her.
