hey ladies,

started bleeding around noon yesterday.. husband and I immediatly went to the ER where they promptly did an ultrasound and found the heartbeat going strong and the baby flipping around.

blood tested indicated I am low on my potassium so the ER sent me home with a RX for potassium pills and bedrest till Monday.

they didnt offer a reason for the bleed. blood was typicaly brownish pink, not heavy enough to soak a pad, and only visible when i wiped. at midnight i woke up to use restroom and wiped bright red blood twice. since theni have been to restroom over a dozen times and blood has gone back to brown and extremlt light. still worried.

will see perinatal doc tomorrow for follow up.

we'll see...

How scary for you! The fact that it's mostly dark blood is a much better sign than bright red. Hang in there and rest up. I will keep you in my T&Ps!

Update @ 9:00 AM Friday 8-20

Today is an awesome day.

Baby was moving and had a beautiful heartbeat of 158! Baby is measuring just shy of 14 weeks, which is right on track.

I was told to take it easy over the weekend, but the Perinatal specialist thinks all is going to be JUST fine with our little bean.

He said since the majority of the blood was brown it is old blood and is actually common in pregnancy.
Thank you all so much for your support and prayers.
