Good afternoon,

So I have posted this in my DDC and the PAL board, but I wanted to write here as well...

Because I have been unable to function without an antidepressant this pregnancy my OB is sending me tomorrow for a fetal echocardiogram.

Some antidepressants are strongly linked to heart problems. While the one I take is not of them, I am still very nervous about what they'll find.

We go tomorrow at 3 PM EST ~ Please, please keep my husband, sweet baby boy and me in your prayers & thoughts tomorrow.

Trying to keep my chin up and not be too nervous -- but you all know how it

is. Thanks again. Basically - I can't relax. I am so on edge that something is wrong with his heart and that it will be my fault since I need the meds. I tried, I really tried to work without meds but I was a wreck/mess.

Please, please pray for my baby boy and his tiny heart. Thank you all so so much.

First of all ~ Thank you so much for all of your kind words and thoughts.

The doctor was looking for pulminary hypertension, which can be caused by antidepressants. He found no signs of this -- thank GOD!

Toward the end the pressure he was putting on my belly was uncomfortable to the point of painful -- but anything for my little guy.

I am not trying to worry about this part: he spent a LOT of time examining one ventricle in particular and was concerned that he may have seen a hole in it. After looking at it more and more he "concluded" that he doesn't "think" there's a hole, but wants me back in 9 weeks (when I am 32 wks) to double check.

Trying to stay positive and thank you again!

*hugs* Glad there are no signs of pulmonary hypertension. Hope he doesn't see anything wrong in 9 weeks!

Hey Ladies!

We had our follow up for our baby's possible tear/hole in heart and....

The hole they suspected they might have seen in Liam's heart closed up/disappeared! This is such fantastic news. They also said he's practicing breathing really well on his own!! Hurray!

Hope everyone is feeling okay. I've only been awake for 10 minutes and am about to go face a class of 15 eight and nine year old students in post-holiday bliss... So talk to me around 4!

You only have 15 students?! The only time I get a class that small is if I sub ESOL!

Anyway, glad the echo went well!
