Today's ultrasound showed no sac. I'm supposed to be 6w 3d.

We've chosen to give it a week. If I start cramping, I'm to call right away. If nothing happens in a week, we'll request a repeat ultrasound and then schedule a D&C.

I should have known better than to let myself get excited. Part of me just wants Chris to have a vasectomy at this point. (I know, I know, give it a few months and see how I feel then.) I'm just so sick of it all.

If I'm MIA you know why.

We've already talked, so you know I'm mad as hell at the world in general for you right now.

I'm glad you're giving it a week.

Do you have a tilted uterus?
Your hormones levels doubled nicely....did they check your tubes?
Just hoping that it was a bad u/s tech, or machine or position of baby. With my Sarah, I had an empty sac at 6 weeks (no fetal pole noticeable). Praying that it was just an error.

Dawn, out of the large # of drs I've seen over the years, only one mentioned a tilted uterus. They did check the tubes and didn't see anything. I'm not ruling out an ectopic though because after reading up on them it seems that up to 26% of ectopics aren't seen on an u/s.

Correct, they're identified by being able to unmistakably see the tube via ultrasound. Tubes should be super hard to find on ultrasound, if you see a big round opening... you've got a problem.

ugh... Such a hard place to be. My heart breaks for you.

I just got to the point where I would not do an U/S before 8 weeks.

I've requested another HCG draw to see what my numbers are doing. My OB's lab people are off until Tuesday but my wonderful PCP's nurse (who's on my FB) is working to arrange for their office to do one for me tomorrow so that I don't have to wait.
