Since charting alone didn't work last cycle, I am considering OPKs. I have used them before, but I never really could figure them out, now that there's digitals, and I have all you ladies to confide in, I think I can figure them out now. My question is...according to my chart my cycle is 33/34 days long. Tomorrow will be cd2 so when do you think I need to start using an opk? AF just came yesterday evening and I am already ready to KICK HER OUT!! So please help me out ladies, because I am going to get that bfp if it's the last thing I do! lol

I am really sorry I missed your post. If you have a longer cycle you may need to test longer. I would start at about day 12 maybe. You may want to test every day after that. I have only used OPKs a few times myself. Have you considered using a fertility monitor. They are a little pricey but they are easy to read and you can reuse it if you have another baby. Just a suggestion.

Sorry your question didn't get answered sooner. I think sometimes people miss posts that are in the subforums.

With the digi's, there should be a chart that will show you based on days in your cycle when to start testing. I have about a 30 day cycle so I was supposed to start testing cd13 and I got a positive digital on cd 17. I think using FMU is the best time to use them too. If you really want to cover all your bases, maybe use 2 a day but you have to limit your fluid intake and you are not supposed to pee for at least 4 hours.

Good luck

I would say to start around CD13 because your cycles are longer. They usually give you a day on the back of the box as well hun.

Don't use FMU unless the brand tells you too. Most OPK's need to be taken from 11am-9pm basically during the day. I also wouldn't take two a day I think that just causes more confusion.

I think all ladies have different thoughts on OPK's because they work differently for certain ladies. Good luck!!

I understand your impatience. I'm sure we all do. And, as you noticed we all do different things lol, so you have to see what works for you I guess. It is really hard for me to go 4 hours without peeing or drinking so fmu is best for me but that's only because that is when I got a bfp which I had not gotten before.

Hey, I hope you don't even need the silly things and good luck again.
