Kale Chips are nutritious and delicious. I was terrified the first time I made them and by the time I was licking the bowl (yes, I was) I was angry I hadn't made more. I'm not a veggie girl by heart so I was scared to try this incredibly dark green "vegetable". If you do it just right, it's fantabulous and absolutely great for your body.
So, this morning I made (am making, they are in the dehydrator) kale chips (w/ olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper), and I don't have a compost and didn't want to waste the stems so I decided I'd just juice them and start taking a morning shot of kale juice (instead of drinking a full glass w/ other veggies and fruits - I have to cut sugar from my diet for right now). I did put a quarter sized ginger root slice in the juicer as well and it made the perfect amt for a shot. One quick drink and then a chaser of water (as it is strong but doesn't last in your mouth).
its actually yummy in a salad! i sprinkle it in with my other greens and its very tasty. but I admit, i really, really want top try these chips. iv just been too laxy to do it. even though it looks super simple.
J- i will get some more kale the next time i get to the store to try this! please dont swat me with the broom?!?
