We are signing up this year for a meat CSA. It's 45-50 lbs of meat for $175 - so $3.50-3.88 a pound. We have the option of getting goat and duck in the mix so we will go for that. I love goat curry.

Now that we are having this little one we have to be more mindful of what we are eating protein-wise. Try as much to limit exposure to animals and animal products produced with lots of antibiotics and growth hormones. I am deathly afraid of having a little girl who goes into puberty under 9 years old or a boy with breasts.

I've read that kids 3-7 don't need much protein so I will limit their intake and get it from sources as above.

Any one else ever participated in a CSA?

We grow a lot our own vegetables (and sell them) so I have never done any of the veg ones.

They have a week in July when you can go fishing here without a license. My fiance and I are going to give it a go. I have only fished twice in my life.
