I picked up my first ever EO book from Barnes and Noble yesterday. It mentions that some oils can cure things like vaginitis. (Not that I've ever had anything like that **knock on wood**) How would a person use the oil to cure a condition like that? Do they put the EO and carrier on that particular area of the body, or do they just rub it on their back like a massage and the EO travels through the bloodstream, or what?

It is standard to put the essential oil right on the affected area. A lot of them are very otent, so it is good to dilute them first. Depending on what you are using it for, a lot of them work simply by inhaling the scent as well.
