When I was really little, I think I wanted to be a nurse..... when I was an older child... I wanted to be a youth counselor!

In middle school I wanted to be an author. In high school I wanted to be an actuary. In college I switched between audiology and speech pathology, and ended up going with speech path.

An actuary usually works for an insurance company. They work with statistics and probabilities, and use the info to compute risks etc to set insurance premiums.

In other words: An actuary sits at a desk and crunches numbers all day, and this sounded fun to me. LOL I ended up in a field that's completely opposite of this, thank goodness.

I wanted to be an archaeologist! My dad even found a real dig for me to go on. Now I'm an ESOL teacher. Hmmm... Not exactly what I had planned...

Don't laugh, but when I was like 7 I wanted to be a hooker. I didn't know what one was of course, but I thought their clothes were "cool" so I wanted to be one.

Then I wanted to be a mechanic, an architect, a hairstylist, and finally a teacher.

I work for Citibank instead.
