we don't use cash much so we don't have a whole lot of spare change. what we do have we put in the kids bank or use it when we are broke. when bryce was 3 he bought himself a bike with the change he saved from people giving it to him and us throwing ours in. we need to start being better about saving it.

I dont use cash much either so dont have a lot, but when we do.. we have two jars. One for pennies and one for quarters\dimes\nickles and we throw it in there. Although dh is better about that than I am. I've got change all over. In the car, the diaper bag, on the dresser, on the tv stand lol.

LOL just say if I Do have spare change- my sweet daughter will grab it and take it and put in her crayon bank LOL...Once I noticed my purse was dumped out and gee no change where did it all disappear too? In a yellow crayon bank-well thank good I try to keep track of change because I claimed some of it back because that was a no-no and besides I needed bus fare LOL.
But yes as a rule- I give my spare change to my daughter, or the bus or a charity donation.
We only use bills in our house, no change. All of our change goes into a change pot in our closet, and at xmas time we go to the bank and cash it in towards xmas gifts.
(That's if I can keep my DH's fingers out of it when he runs out of money for cigerettes and coffee during the week).
Adrian doesn't have a change bucket or a piggy bank because he gets child support checks and half of his checks every week goes into a savings account for him and the other half comes to us for bills and food etc.
