I am talking with Jessica right now and we're talking about hair, and we got on the subject of perms and it reminded me of the worst hair mistake I ever made.

When I was 17, one week (1!!!) before I moved to go to college ... I decided I want a wavy perm for my hair. I thought it would look so cute, and who knows, it MIGHT have.

If we hadn't left the perming solution on for 30 minutes instead of 5.

The girl who did it was in BEAUTY SCHOOL (thank GOD she dropped out and didn't get a beauticians license, LOL) ... and one of my closest girlfriends.

Needless to say, my hair was completely wrecked. It was like elastic - you could literally stretch it (except it wouldn't bounce back to original shape like elastic ) ... I couldn't brush my hair for like 3 weeks unless I had copius amounts of conditioner in it. I couldn't shave my head ... my hair had been past my shoulders down my back. It's taken 4 years, but my hair has completely grown out from it now. And I'm not really friends with that girl anymore. LOL

NEVER AGAIN!

And as you all know, I've had plenty of hair dying experiences LOL!

Right after I had Krystle, I decided to redye my hair. I liked to keep it a lighter reddish brown than it originally is. I got my usual brand and color but I guess it didnt mesh with the hormones I still had in my body, it came out kool-aid red LOL. I didnt have the money to get it fixed so I begged and pleaded with my Dad to help me, of course he wouldnt because he doesnt belive in changing things about yourself like that. So I had to go to school for a month with my hair bright bright red.

When I was in 5th grade, I wanted a perm so my mom took me to get a curley one. Well come to find out, I have wavy hair and the curl just made it worse. I came out looking like a poodle!!! They had to relax it, alot, to make it look better! I felt soo stupid!

When I was about 18. I decided to go from long straight hair to shoulder length permed hair. I went to a well known beauty salon to have it done. I remember the woman ask me, are you sure you want to have your hair all cut off? I said YES, I was ready for a change! BIG MISTAKE.......... The perm did not take.It looked so bad. I cried. I waited a month. The same salon put another perm in free of charge. The second perm took. But, I went a month wearing my hair in a ponytail, until they were able to perm it again.

While I was in Jr High I colored my hair black. Then I wanted to go blonde.

Well my roots turned blonde the rest was black. So my mom called me out that day of shool and off to the salon. $300 later my hair had been bleached 4 times. That was it I told them to stop. My hair was orange with neon yellow highlights ROFL!

I also just had my hair cut to above my shoulders it was down to my back so I dontated it, next time I am going to sell it!

When I was 18 I got the crazy idea one night to dye my hair black. It turned out BLUE though! It cost me $100 to have it stripped, bleached, then dyed back to brown. It really sucked and fried my hair.

I have two. Once I let my girlfriend bleach my hair, and she rubbed it into my scalp. I figured she knew what she was doing cause i didnt. Well it started to burn and when I told her she said that meant it was working so I left it in longer. Finally it was burning so bad I pushed her over and rinsed it out under the bathtub faucet. It burnt my scalp so bad it hurt for lmost 3 years. And before that my hair was dyed red so instead of going white or whatever my hair was neon pink.
The scond time I tried to dye my hair blue. It only partially took though and for like two weeks my face was blue too, cause it kept bleeding. Everymorning I would have to scrub my face with bleach and nail polish remover. Then after a few months I dyed brown over it but it turned green. I liked it though and kept it for awhile. When I went to get it fixed they had to strip my hair twice, bleach it twoce, cut it real short, I had like three oil treatments, and then they dyed it twice. I was there from before noon, till past 9. They kept the shop open for me. And all that time I was working at a bank. They loved it. Isnt it funny how sometimes we just dont learn from our mistakes. LOL
