What are your thoughts on cremation vs. burial?

What would you choose for yourself and why?

Hmmmm...I'm actually kind of torn on this one. I like the idea of cremation more so than burial. But I also think that when you have a gravesite, family has a concrete place to always go back to. I just think its ridiculous the measures that we go to nowadays to prevent ourselves from absorbing back into the earth. Decomposing bodies are viewed as "hazardous waste material". You are practically sealed inside of a concrete vault. I like the olden days way of doing things--pine box, or a funeral pyre.

I'll be cremated. No need to add to the crap in the ground (coffin, steel, cement).

DH feels this way too. He said to plant a tree in a public spot for the family to visit.
