Hi all
I have a slight problem im looking for some help with, my daughter seems to be obssessed with boys getting hit between the legs, she often laughs when she see's it on TV/movies, is this a normal reaction to have?

She sometimes talks about it happening in school and apparently some of her friends have done it, and she tells me stories sometimes.
I guess im wondering if this is normal? or if anyone has experience with this?

Any responses would be great, thank you

I know my sister went through a stage like that. My guess is little girls don't realize a) how bad it hurts and b) how damaging it can be in the long run.

How old is your daughter? I'd probably approach the situation by explaining both a and b completely with the fact that it could affect his ability to have babies when he's an adult.

I agree with Augie and I'd definitely have that chat with her. Plus, if she sees that you really don't approve, she will probably get to thinking that maybe it's the wrong thing to do. Is there an older sister or cousin, or does she have a fairly young and trendy aunt, who could also speak to her and frown upon it? Even a brother who could give a male perspective? That might help convince her even more than hearing it from an adult.

Also, I'd guess that she thinks it's funny because the other girls in her group clearly do, and you know how kids go along with each other like that. Have you mentioned it to the teacher at all? Isn't it around the time kids do sex ed in school - it usually is Y5/6 or age 10-11 over here? Perhaps it could be subtly mentioned in with that that it can really damage a male down there and it's not just a bit of fun.

Its not been mentioned to the teacher no, recently she's seen a film with a guy getting kicked there in it and has now begun dressing up in my heels and pretending to kick guys and she seems to think its great
