I was wondering I scrolled through the list of boards. I was wondering if there was one for children with night terrors? It is a small topic, but my daughter started getting them, some good some bad. I just don't know what else to do for her.
I'm concerned because I feel like it is my fault in some way. I heard she was a little bit old to start getting them now, she is 5?
Not at all too old. My little boy gets them and he is 5. He gets them intermittently then they seem to go for a bit - usually when he's got a lot of anxieties or fears going on. It's not your fault - it can just be the result of an overactive imagination. Perhaps you could try cutting out or changing things she eats after around 5pm, to see if that makes a difference? Or having a talk about the day's events and any worries she may have before she goes to bed?
We don't have a single board for it, no, but people may be able to give you some advice on the Children's Health board and you might want to identify your Playroom for mums of children your daughter's age so you can find out if anyone else born around the same time also deals with them.
