I am new to this site and I am a new mom. I have a son named Adam who is almost 9 months old. I am young and truthfully my boyfriend and I didn't plan on Adam. We admit that we weren't smart that time and well...things happen. However, he is the greatest thing to happen to us. It took us a while to want to ever be intimate again. A very long while and well...just some advice from fellow women out there...how well does protection work? We were smart this time and yes I know I should have went straight to the pill after Adam, but I didn't and well...I just would like to know the odds of getting pregnant again if you used a condom? I don't know if this is too personal or something but I need advice from fellow females. I mean I have no symptoms at all. A week after Adam was conceived I was sick day and night and the only thing I could drink was ice tea. I feel fine and I only feel sick when I think about going through that again. I love my son and all but I have a huge fear of doctors that hadn't been fixed because I fear ALL doctors of ALL kinds. Am I just panicking because my son was unplanned and I have a fear that makes me not want another child and that is why I feel nauseas and it was the first time we were intimate after our son so we panic is advance for just in case? Or could I really be pregnant...again?
I will by a home pregnancy test but I just need to know the odds of getting pregnant if protection was worn? It will calm my nerves.
First off, I'd like to welcome you to Motherhood!! Now, if you and your boyfriend were careful and used protection, then the odds are very low. If you want double protection, you two could always use a condom and the pull out method. I wouldn't worry if I were you, unless AF is late. Just enjoy your little one while he's still little.
