Usually, there are forty weeks in a pregnancy if you count after the last day of your menstruation. This is the oldest and most popular techniques utilized today most especially in the United States. It includes keeping track of your menstruation cycle and then count the days after your last period.

The 40 weeks of pregnancy is divided into 3 trimesters. That is roughly about 3 months each trimester. The first trimester covers the first 3 months of your pregnancy. It is during these weeks that you feel frequent pregnancy symptoms such as morning sickness, nauseous feeling, and inflammation of your tummy and lower abdomen. By your 2nd week of pregnancy, you must already have confirmed your conception. Otherwise, you must head to the nearest clinic for tests.

Second trimester starts on the 16th week of your pregnancy and ends on the 24th week. It is during this trimester that you should perform a few exercises to help you move your muscles to avoid problems such as eclampsia and preclampsia. Also, these exercises must help you in your delivery as well. Consult your doctor about these exercises on your next schedule.

The final trimester covers the 28th to the 40th week of your pregnancy. This is the most crucial time in your conception. Normal delivery usually takes place on the 38th week to the 40th week. An infant born on the seventh month of having a baby has a high chance of surviving since the bodily organs have alreadydeveloped then. On the other hand, their lungs are not fully developed so they’re confined in an incubator in the moment.

Hence, it is important to know how many weeks is a pregnancy you are immediately to determine if your infant will be delivered normally and healthy.
