After I had my baby a friend of mine sent me a sculpture of a mother holding a baby in a blanket and this poem came with it (I just love it!)

Love at First Sight

Before you were conceived I wanted you

Before you were born I loved you

Before you were here an hour I would die for you

This is the miracle of life

Ok, here is one of my all time favorites, it is actually a song...I sang this at my mother's funeral. I hope you all enjoy it:

Medals for Mothers

I dreamed Mother walked up the Heavenly stairs
And medals for mothers were given up there
They mentioned a million things Mom did for me
Things I took for granted and never could see

If there's medals for mothers
For all of the deeds they have done
If there's medals for mothers
Mama, you'd win every one

A medal of honor was pinned on her there
A medal for patience and kind, loving care
A medal for duty she won up above
But the biggest of all was the one for her love

If there's medals for mothers
For all of the deeds they have done
If there's medals for mothers
Mama, you'd win every one

This first one is actually a baby quote but I think it's so cute:

"Babies are angel's who's wings decrease as their legs increase ~Author Unknown"

"As I stood and watched you sleeping, the moonlight kissed your face. My heart is overwhelmed with your beauty and your grace. How precious and so delicate is your tiny little hand. And the sweetness of your lips and eyes is nothing less than grand. Your spirit and your softness tenderly sets my heart aglow, with a love so deep and infinite that only a mother could know. So tonight I count my blessings for my darling, baby dear, for surely God did hear my heart and answered every prayer."
~Linda LaTourelle

"A man finds out what is meant by a spitting image when he tries to feed cereal to his infant." ~ Imogene Fey

"The first woman a little boy falls in love with is his mother."

The Greatest gift God gave us for being a Mom was becoming a Grandmother.

If your baby is beautiful and perfect, never cries or fusses, sleeps on schedule and burps on demand, an angel all the time, you're the grandma.
