Now, its my personal view.. that most newborns arn't that cute.. I don't know why that is.. I just think that most babies when they are first born arn't that cute (Now I'll be the first to say, that I thought my daughter was the most beautiful baby in the world... but her first foto was HIDEOUS!!! I laugh and say, I really thought you were precious..)

So here's my silly question..........

When you see a baby.. regardless of age.. Do you volunteer "Ooooh you're baby is sooo cute, precious ect ect" even if you don't actually think so... Or do you just glance and not say a word?

Of course all mothers think their babies are the most beautiful things in the world. Even when they're not. If I come across a child that isn't that cute, I always pay attention to him/her, because odds are, they get ignored a lot. There was this little girl at a birthday party who had a cleft pallet and non of the other kids would play with her, so I did and so did my DD and we made that little girls day. I've taught my DD well.

That's really sweet Nina, I'm glad that your DD is getting those good qualities instilled in her as well.
I think some baby's are cute when they are first born (except mine, she was beautiful! ) and some look like a litle old man/woman. I usually will find one feature on the baby that I think is adorable and tell the mother that - or say something like "look how alert she is" or "wow she's tiny/big" (whatever the case may be). Baby's are so sweet that there is usually something about them that is cute.

You Ladies are great!! Thank you! I tried really hard to make sure that she treats everyone the same. Hopefully that'll stick once she reaches Junior High.
