If you have more than one child, do you get them the same number of gifts, or spend the same amount of money, or both, or does it matter?
I try to spend the same amount and get the same number of gifts. That is hard to do if its even possible. But I dont want show favoritism or shortchange one of them.

I'm actually heading out soon to go "even up" the amount of gifts. Kaylee has more than Vanessa at this point.
I'd like for them to be even since I have a feeling Kaylee will be counting.

My kids are 6yrs appart. So right now I dont think they notice the number of gifts. The older ones gifts always cost more, so I dont worry about the $$ for each. But as they get older, I will try to make it look even.

I only have one right now. But I will endeavour to spend approximately the same and have it look approximately the same amount if I am lucky enough to have another child.

I only have one child, but I believe in equality and if we are blessed with any more children, the same amount will be spent on both.

We will do the same amount of money. DSS will be nearly ten years older than his other siblings so I can't imagine buying him less substantial gifts just so they match the amt his baby sibs get.
My mom did it that way too. I'm 7.5 and 9.5 years older than my brothers and she ALWAYS made sure she spent the same on each one of us (I won't tell you how much, my momma was crazy). Their gifts were always bigger than mine, but their price was always determined by me.
Take last year for example. Baby Brother wanted a PS3 kit. Cost at the time in Canada for Game, extra controller etc was $400. So mom ordered Me and my other brother new laptops and my sister (her step daughter) a net book. That's in addition to all the other gifts we got, but she was attempting to compensate for it being the first Christmas with out my dad.
So that's my goal, everyone gets the same spent on them. DSS will hopefully be past the "hey he got more than me!" phase (he has an ASD and has hoarding tenancies. It's all about quantity and not quality right now)

A little bit of both. We've also started this year getting them some things that they can share.

when they were all little we did but now that Tyler is 13 and even Austin who is 9, the things they want/get tend to be more expensive so they get less gifts, but we try and spend the same amount on all 4 kids.
