So my ILs were on my good side since they are giving us that interest free loan for our land, but then..... They decided they were going to come visit. Fine. I don't expect them to stay away forever First, they were coming for Sam's birthday. Annoying because my whole family was planning on coming and I was afraid they wouldn't come then. Then they changed it to earlier in August because DH was preaching two Sundays and they wanted to hear him preach. Of course they choose the least convenient of the two. They decide to come on a Thur. Why is this bad? Because the day before (Wed.) my mom was planning on driving down, taking the rest of the week off of work and we were going to take Sam to the Wiggles concert on Wed evening. Sam loves the Wiggles and this was the only date that was anywhere near us and we were still going to drive an hour to get there. But it's a 4 hour drive for my mom, and she doesn't want to be here while they are since we only have one futon and one bathroom (and MIL is annoying) and she doesn't want to cut into their time. So she didn't want to drive down on Wed. and turn right around and drive back 4 hours on Thur. So guess who doesn't get to go to the Wiggles now - Sam DH has to be at youth group on Wed. and I'm not going to drive an hour there and an hour back by myself with him because he hates to ride in the car and I have no clue where I'm going etc. So anyway... they just seem to have impecible timing. If they had come on Fri instead, my mom would have done it.
Poor Sam! I would be sooo upset. Ian LOVES the Wiggles! If I was anywhere close you we could take the kids to see them, LOL! I'm hoping to take Ian next month when they come around here. That sucks that your plans got changed, and that you have to deal with your MIL. I'd take the Wiggles over my MIL any day!
