In the mail today.

In the mail! She lives across the freaking street!

A card from the Dollar Tree. It came out of one of their 5-for-$1 packs. I know because I got the same one last year.

And that's it. Which, she doesn't have to give me a present and I'd actually rather she didn't. But I'm surprised.

She usually goes out of her way to find something I won't like. For Christmas I got a huge pair of sweatpants with the $3 clearance tag still on them, and a pair of socks ... regular white socks that she took out of a pack she bought for herself.

These people aren't worried about saving money. My nephew got at least $1000 worth of crap from them for Christmas just two months ago (on the same day I got the socks and pants).

No. Dollar Tree has packs of greeting cards for $1. Five per pack.

She gave me one from the pack last year, and now one this year. I guess I got three more years of the same card and then we'll see what the next five-pack is.

At least my MIL goes to the Goodwill and picks out the individual cards! Of course, my MIL is just a little annoying, but sweet. It's the rest of my ILs I can't stand!

Ours does! We each get our own Christmas card every year! She goes in January right after everyone clears out their stuff to make room for the Christmas booty and picks up three or four years worth. And she is stuck in WWII, so her taste is really bizarre... Good luck with your MIL!
