Does anyone on this board have any other problems or diseases they've been diagnosed with? Like skin problems (specifically rosacea)? Or any eye problems? Anything else that may or may not be linked to your thyroid? Just trying to make some connections.

I was dx with insulin resistance (pre-diabetes) in Oct of last year (which really shocked me, as the only risk factor I had was a family history). Right now I have gestational diabetes. Oh, I sometimes get a bit of eczema on my hands if they get really dry or if I use certain types of lotions or soaps, but it is mild and my son's Aveeno baby eczema cream takes care of it (but it seems to be inherited and not related to my thyroid).

I have chronic UTI's, and I wonder if this is because I have hashimoto's (both tying in with my immune system). Other than that, I don't have any other health problems right now. One thing that concerned me about having an autoimmune disease is that it increases one's risks for MORE autoimmune diseases. I can't remember if you have Hashi's or not? I have come to realize the importance of finding a doctor that really understands not just thyroid problems, but also specifically autoimmune diseases. Just my 2 cents though.
