I went for my CT scan on friday and was turned away b/c I'm on asthma meds they require a steroid prep. I saw my DR (nurse practictioner) yesterday and she prescribed me the predisone and stuff. I started taking it today - its a PITA.
Anwyay the CT soft tissue w/ contract neck scan is to view the thyroid nodules discovered in the ultrasound. I'll get results Friday or Monday.
I just want the thing out at this point. It's fried, non functional. When I was diagnosed my levels were in the 300's.
My sept blood work was 22. I went up to 175mcg and retested last week, slightly hyper so they lowered it to 150 which I'll start next week. I lost 2lbs, I like being Hyper - i got my libido back and I don't feel like crap all the time LOL
I go see an Endo on the 24th who will take over my hypo care. I want a Hashi's antibody test and some real solutions rather than this wishy washy stuff. Remove the thyroid rather than go get ct and ultrasounds ever 6 months, find a med type and level that works for me and be done with this crap.
I'm a little frustrated. I've missed 6 hours of work in the past week to deal with this stuff!
