I feel like I am dying So I see an endo today that my doc referred me to since her advice to go on Cytomel (since I cant get armour thyroid) and the first time I took it I had a horrible migraine. So I am hoping to get Nature-throid or some thing. I have a feeling they will try me on synthroid again, which did not work in 2002 so I doubt it will work now.
I have been hypothyroid since Dec 2001...I have been on Armour since 2003....sad they had to switch fillers.
But I did learn that the reason Armour and all natural thyroid meds are hard to get is because the FDA is doing to them what they did to Synthroid back in early 2000...I think 2002. They are requiring them to have the FDA approval. Synthroid almost didnt win the lawsuit to get the approval but they did, question now is will the natural thyroid meds win? If not then all will be taken off the shelf.
From what I learned it will be about 90 days before anything might be figured out. I dont know if any of this is entirely true but it makes some sense....
Hhmmmm... haven't heard anything like that. If your TSH is in the 30's, you really need to get on something fast. I suggest 90mcg of NatureThroid to start with. If the dr I were to go see isn't willing to try that... I'd get a new dr. A good dr is willing to try different methods... esp since you know that Synthroid doesn't work for you.
