Well my FT4 came back .. high! so my Endo is having me skip a full dose on Sundays until I retest in 6 weeks.
And I had bleeding during sex last thursday. A lot. They did a ton of bloodwork and an U/S showed a baby and a heartbeat. Got a call yesterday that a I have Low Progesterone and to start taking 200mg of Prometrium.
Did a little research and it seems low progesterone and hypothyroidism are often linked together.
It makes me wonder why this is why I have such irregular cycles when thyroid levels are off, and why it took me so long to get preggo this time.
I wonder if they shouldn't be testing all pregnant women with Hypo for low progesterone. I hear testing for it is not common unless you have bleeding or were on it prior to getting pregnant.
I'm not sure. I think it's because of Hypo, dating a week behind at 7 weeks, unexplained bleeding, asthma, and history of a leep?
The referral sends me to do an NT Scan next month, check cervical length and Level II u/s at 20 weeks. She said the peri has better machines and is an expert to monitor growth, which can be affected by Hypo.
Hmmmm, interesting. I hope it all works out & you have a beautiful, healthy baby!
Ditto. I would decline all that if I were you. There's nothing during this pg right now that would make you high risk. It seems like a perfect set up to convince you that you need a c-section as you get closer to your EDD.
