I saw my new endocrinologist today, it was a good appointment he was very nice and so funny.
My thyroid is still swollen, I think he said a normal one is 6g but mine is at least 100g. My heartrate is in the 140s so he gave me atenolol for that today along with uping the propyl dose I take...yuck! Its 3 tablets ever 4 hours now...or 6 hours. I better check on that.
Is anyone else on Propylthiouracil? I haaate the after taste of it so much!
My BP is fine, but my calcium is high so I have to cut back on my calcium intake.
I was suppose to have labs today but I couldn't get it done so just waiting for a call so I can...
I'm just so excited I have a nice doctor!

I've never dealt with those meds.... so I don't know. Are you looking into option for your thyroid like removing it or radioactive iodine?

He was heavy on the subject of surgery to remove it. I on the other hand, I just really don't want to go that route. Well, talk more on it at the next appointment I have with him in two weeks...if I can get my labs done.
