Awww, you are not alone! My hair fell out pretty much in handfuls for several months, but that was during the time that my thyroid quit working and I didn't know it (so I wasn't on meds). It scared me so much, and made me sad, too, since not only was it falling out in mass quantities but it was also thinning out. Once I got on the right dosage, my hair has stopped falling out and also grows very quickly now. So take heart, it will get better for you, too!

Me too! It got a lot thinner but b/c my hair is so thick, you couldn't tell it just by looking at it. Once I got on the right medication my hair has now stopped falling out too. GL!

My hair started to fall out after I had my thyroid removed and just stopped maybe a month ago or so...It might of been a combo of my thyroid and having a baby since I had a baby 3 weeks after I had my thyroid out...But usually it wouldn't fall out for 8 months, so i'm thinking a big part of it was my thyroid...On a good note it's starting to grow back.
