Hi ladies, I have a quick question.

I'm currently 16w,4d and had my TSH checked on Monday. My TSH came back at 5.08 which I know is high. I haven't spoke to her yet but am sure that my endo will up my dosage. My question is do you think this will harm my baby or put me at an increased risk for miscarriage? I mean, it will be treated but I know that it takes a few weeks to actually kick in and start working. Has anyone had any experience with a similar situation? Did everything turn out ok?

I'm just a worried mama, I'm sure y'all understand. I had a blighted ovum last year and had a D&C on 7/30 and it's taken me this long to get pregnant again! After the miscarriage my body went crazy and I was diagnosed with PCOS in February of this year.

Thanks for your help, advice, prayers and anything else you have to offer!

No, I think you'll be fine. Most pg mamas with hypo generally get lots of fluctuations (I didn't) and everything turns out just fine. I'd be more concerned with hyper than hypo.

I'd be more worried if they didn't up your meds.

I def understand about not wanting anything to happen to this bean... it took 3 years to get pg last year only to have a m/c at 11 wks on July 1st (so 30 days before yours) & I'm STILL not pg again yet again but the good news is... I start injectables tonight!

aww, thanks ladies. i called my endo's office yesterday and left a message but haven't received a phone call yet. i'm completely out of meds and wanted to wait and get a new prescription after she ups the dosage. i'm calling again today if i don't hear from here soon and if i have to, i'll go to her office! we work so hard to become pregnant and once we are you had better watch out!! lol we're protective from the first day we see that BFP.

and amanda, i'm sorry to hear about your loss. starting injectibles is great news though! my ob put me on metformin and said if it didn't work within 6 months she'd start me on clomid. apparently, it was all that i needed because it only took us 2 months. i wish you the best of luck!!

again, thanks ladies.
