Hello. I'm Katie. I just found out about this board from another on WTTC. Today I got my yearly thyroid lab results back. Due to my family history of both parents with thyroid problems I have it checked every year. For a few weeks now I've been losing handfuls of hair at a time.
My TSH, T3, T4 all were normal but my Thyroid antibodies is about 40 out of the normal range. So my OB has put me on Levoxyl .25mcg to start and recheck my labs in 8 weeks.
This is kinda scary for me. It is just one more medical problem I have to deal with and another medication to take, since I have Fibromyalgia and Asthma also.
But mostly because DH and I are possibly going to TTC starting in April. I've been told that is not something we need to put off but still its scary.

I was recently diagnosed with it as well. I'm on Synthroid. 2 weeks taking meds and I don't really see any differences. Retesting in about a month. We found it because we are TTC and she checks my TSH, T3, T4, FSH, LH, and progesterone levels every few months if we don't concieve. Best of luck to you.
