Hi, sorry I haven't responded sooner - I've been taking a break from the boards here for a little while. So, you asked about symptoms:
Severe fatigue (as soon as I woke up in the morning, and lasting all day), not able to sleep well at night (trouble falling asleep mostly), hair falling out in small handfuls and becoming thin and limp, extremely dry skin, swollen face, sunken/dark eyes, searing muscle cramps in my back and legs (like a charlie horse), brain fog, depression (mostly from so many other things going wrong with my body...feeling like I was falling apart), increased difficulty with menstrual cycle, and decreased metabolism (which meant severe heartburn and lots of weight gain). Those are the ones I can remember right now. I hope you can find some answers for what you are dealing with, and please let us know how it goes!
First off thank you for the reply. I am on my phone so. I will keep this short lol. Dr just called and said my iron is a little low and he told me to take iron pills. Then he when he got to my thyroid levels he said they were 5.98 which is slightly elevated. But he didn't say anything beyond that. I feel frustrated. I have the extreme exhaustion, the freezing hands and feet when everyone else is warm, losing hair, gained weight. I was hoping for some relief but was just told I have low iron. But I am not yet anemic. Ugh. I asked for a printout of my test results and I think I want to see a specialist. Opinions? TIA
eta: I went to my dr office and recieved a copy of my results... the T4 free was 1.15 which he said was normal.
