I had my thyroid removed due to cancer 5 years ago. I did NOT do the Iodine radiation at the time. my dr wanted me to but I wasnt welling to go throgh it....not sure why!
Anyways, now my TSH is at 39.4 and Im on 225 sythroid. My levels are normally in the normal range. When I got this test result DR raised my sythroid. 6 weeks later Im still the 39 TSH.
He had mentioned if test results ddnt change I would HAVE to do radiation.
My question is has anyone heard or had a similar experiance? Im not really understanding what radiation would do now. BUT Im welling and ready to do it. I just not sure why my body is not taking the sythroid anymore. And would radiation change that.
I go Tuesday to find out what Dr wants me to do. Im still hoping I dont get the run around. Im totally hypo, cant sleep Ihave gained weight, I dont have any energy, I have major anxity, I am always one to get up and look my best but Im in comfy clothes and hair up the last few weeks. My hubby thinks Im going crazy. and I just feel BLAH!!!!
Anyone?????
Thanks ahead of time.
