Hello, I am 32 weeks pregnant and have had subclinical hyperthyroidism for almost 2 years. Until just recently, my levels have been normal for t3 and t4 but .03 and less for tsh. Now tsh below .02 and t4 is out of range. I'm starting now to get muscle weekness and a feeling of being worn out also have a high pulse rate. My doctor wants to start me on Tapazole now. I'm wondering if anybody is on it or has taken it. What was your expierience with it, and did you have any problems? I'm always scared to take medicine and just nervous about starting this while pregnant. Any advice would be great. Thanks!
I am on Tapazole, my son was 7 months old when I found out I have Grave Disease and was told to stop bf'ing ASAP as it was not safe for my son. Was also told that if I were to get pregnant again, to switch to something else as tapazole could cause some problems...like one example I could remember was it could leave bald patches on your baby scalp, where the hair will never grow in.
