I was just curious if you been there moms can clue me in on a question I have regarding labor of your last baby. I was in labor for 11 1/2 hrs for my first and only 4 for my second. Even though this is my third, and generally most third labors go faster than the earlier ones, I was wondering if having the pregnancies so far apart (and my 31 yr old age) will mean that my labor will be like my first, instead of like my second. I was just wondering if anyone has stories that would help.

Thanks

Good question, I have been wondering about this as well. Hopefully one of the BTDT moms has an answer.

All 3 of my labours and deliveries were different, however I have to say that despite 7 years between the middlest and youngest, my last labour was by far the fastest! Sebastien's labour was 17 hrs, James was 3

There was 4 years between my first and 2nd and then 8 years until the 3rd. Let me tell you how much faster the 3rd was!!! I almost didn't make it to the hospital lol. With the first I was in labor for 36 hours... 2nd was 12 and the 3rd was 3 hours from the first cramping to the one push and she was out. We got to the hospital 15 minutes before and they barely got the iv in.. hubby missed the entire birth because he was waiting on my brother to pick up our daughter...

My first was 6 hours long, the second 8 (induced after rupture of membranes) and the last 6. The middle one was my hardest labor & recovery, but my easiest baby.
