My DD is almost 7 years old and I just had another baby girl on Nov. 4. My older DD is great, always wants to help, hold the baby, etc. She loves her "sissy" too! My only problem is Haley, my oldest, is so use to being an only child that she is starting to not listen and have a hard time following our normal routine. It is trying to adjust to having two kiddos now and I was just wondering if this is normal? How can I help the situation? Thank you for listening!

It is completly normal for them to act out both of mine have done it. I have a 10 yr old 5 year old and 6 week old. I think the most important thing is to be persistant and not give in. It is also very important that you are giving the older child special attention just for her. And try to include her with the baby also. It gets much easier once the baby gets a little older and dosent require so much of your time.
