I asked this question in the April DDC but no one answered. I'm pregnant with my 3rd baby, but it has been 8 years since my last child was born.

Did other mom's who's pregancy's were so spaced out still feel like it was a third pregnancy? Like, did your tummy pop out early? Or did it seem almost like your body reverted back after all those years and it was more like your first?

I figured with this being my 3rd I'd be showing a lot sooner, but I'm really not just yet. I'm 13 weeks right now.

I'd love to hear some stories from other mom's who were spaced out a lot.

I had 7.5 years between mt 1st & 2nd. I showed earlier with my first, but it wasn't real early, maybe 5 months. My second I didn't show until about 7 months. There's only 15 months between my 2nd & 3rd, but it was also like my 2nd. I guess my body just hides pregnancy no matter how many I have! Sorry I couldn't be more help!

I am pregnant with my 3rd after 11 years, and I had thought I would kind of be showing even though I am only 9 weeks now. My sister had a gap between her 2nd and 3rd of 12 years and she said it was like being pregnant the first time. Had she not told us she was pregnant, I probably would have guessed it until she was about 14 or 15 weeks along. The only other thing I recall her mentioning was that her doctor told her that having one after so long is like having your first (as far as length of labor) - lucky for her she had my nephew in 4 hours

I am pregnant with my 2nd after 12 years. I thought I'd be showing sooner too, but I'm still fluffy from my prev pregnancy.

I popped out right away. My body was like pregnancy? HEY! We remember this! And BOOM, here I am, pregnant again.

i think every woman is differant and their body reacts differantly. its like some woman's body "remembers" and some seem to "forget" there is 11 years differance between my ds (14-today) and dd (3-3days ago) and it seems like as soon as i found out i was pregnant i "popped"

Each pregnancy is different.. With my first one I did not show at all.. No one believed me that I was pregnant. Even at 9 months I barely showed.. With my middle child I showed at 4 months.. I use the the saying "It was like someone pulled the string on an inflatable boat" and with my third child I didn't show until I was about 7 months

Thanks for the amusing answers...lol. I'm 16 weeks now and the tummy muscles that never turned into muscles seem to have given up ship and I've definitely flopped out. yipee

My middle son and last son are 7 years apart. It definitely felt like my 3rd pregnancy, but I felt more aware of everything, if that makes any sense. my belly didn't really pop out until I was well into my 5th month. Then I was huge all the sudden...lol
