I don't usually come to this board, but I wanted to ask a question about widely space siblings. My husband and I are thinking about waiting a good long while before having another baby, so our DD can be in school and may help with the baby since she will be older. What is it like with the older sibling helping out with the younger ones?

My older DS is such a help with his younger brother. He is always trying to care for him and take on more responsibility that he really needs to.

I forgot to mention that my husband and his brother, who were born in 72 and 74, were closely spaced then his mom waited about 6 years before having is 2 other sisters in 80 and 81. My sister and I are less than 3 years apart. I thought see what it's like for others.

Cool. I can't wait... keep the stories coming

Branden has always been a wonderful help from day one. Of course there are those days where I'm practically pulling my hair out , but for the most part they get along great and have such a special bond.
