my kids would be sugar monsters if I didnt keep them in check! I allow them one real sweet treat a week and something sugar free daily, like jello or a frozen fruitcicle, something like that.

I have the Tupperware popcicle molds and make Annika sugar free jello or pupping pops. She loves those. Should would be a sugar monster also if I didn't watch her.

We are really bad in this house with sweets...sometimes we go in spurts where we have a little chocolate every night after supper or we eat ice cream from the Dairy Queen that is just down the street. This is not good because I am pre-diabetic, I had gestational diabetes and am overweight.

Just this week I have started us on a healthier eating plan and my older DS is so upset about it. He is mad because I'm limiting his sweets again because he's been starting to get out of control. Our carb intake as a family is also out of control, and I'm trying to work on it because I'm worried about my sugar levels. I think living in a colder climate makes it hard to watch your carbs...when it's 25 degrees below zero out, the last thing I want to eat is a cold salad...No, of course I want mashed potatoes and noodles. Then you can't get outside to work any of it off and you just lie around and the cycle continues... At least it's getting nice out now...we've eaten salads all week!!!!

We all have a major SWEET tooth here too.

Good for you blythe! We've been eating lots of salads here also lately! I'm really hoping to keep it up because so far I've been gaining a pound a week.

That's a bad thing? I think I was gaining on average 5 to 8 pounds a month.

I'm just really hoping I don't gain 60 pounds like I did with Branden. I'm sure I'll gain much more in the last three months too...It seems like as soon as I peed on the stick I was up afew.
