Hello to you all. We got back from Missouri on Saturday morning around 4am. I stayed up and talked to my DH while he drove the 13 hours home. I was exhausted. The kids were sleeping, that is, of course, until we got in the house. Then my 2 year old decided he'd stay up so except for the HOUR nap he took on Saturday afternoon, I'd had NO sleep. By Saturday night, I was crying over nothing and everything from being so tired. (PLUS, my 2 year old didn't sleep much the whole trip!) Today has been better since I went to bed early last night, but still, I feel like I need a vacation from my vacation. LOL
We had a nice time overall. My DH would like to move there, I think, and he would in a heartbeat if it was possible. It's just not financially a good move. It was very pretty there and GREEN!! temperatures in the 60-70s unlike when we got home and it was stark and freezing and SNOWING pretty good. I do not wish to move so far away from my family/home...it was a long 13 hour drive, farther away than I realized. It was fun to visit though.
My pictures are of the Current River which ran right through the town in which we stayed. We also visited Laura Ingalls Wilders' home in Mansfield, Missouri...very neat. We also went up to the St. Louis Arch beside the Mississippi River. Glad to be back!!!
