We went to see Santa on Saturday. Right after I picked Alana up from Santa's lap, she spit up all over her cute little Christmas outfit! Oh well, at least it was AFTER the picture!
And here's my questions:
Do any of your kids still believe in Santa?
Have your older siblings tried to convince your younger siblings that Santa does/doesn't exist?
Angel still believes this year. Although I know she is getting suspecious. She think the older kids that ride her bus are just spoil sports when they say that Santa isn't real. Because "Mommy says he is" Honestly, I kind of think that she knows the truth, but she WANTS to still believe, so she won't admit it yet. Next year.. who knows! AHH!! She is growing up so fast!!
This is probably something that you didn't know BUT I never told Aaron Santa was "real." He has known from the very begining that Santa wasn't real and that his presents were from me or a family member. We celebrate Christmas as Jesus's birthday and even sing to Jesus on christmas morning at my parents house. He knows to not tell anyone else that Santa isn't real because it would upset them so that has never been a problem. I noticed at Aaron's birthday you were telling me how hard it was to find a particular toy that Angel wanted and she interupted you and said, Mommy Santa brought me that...like woman what on earth are you talking about... So I am pretty sure she still believes for now but next christmas who knows. Our kids are really growing up!
Oh and the reason I never told Aaron Santa was real is because my parents let me believe Santa was real til I was I think about 8 then Beth told me the truth and I was not only crushed but upset at my parents for lieing to me all those years and I remember vividly thinking well if they lied to me about that what else have they lied to me about??
I wanted Aaron to trust me and to be completely honest with him, Aaron sees Santa as a cartoon character like scooby do he likes them and thinks they are cool but knows it is just pretend.
Good luck with Angel when she figures things out I hope it goes smoother than it did for me as a kid.
I think my daughter, Savannah knows that Santa isn't real, but doesn't want ot give it up either.
Lucas really doesn't get all of it regarding Santa, and I've considered not ever telling him that Santa's real for the same reasons given by Regal25.
I don't think that Savannah would ruin it for Lucas, but you never know...I'm sure kids accidentaly let the beans spill now and then...
I'd say this is the last year for Savannah believing in Santa...I"m gonna enjoy it!
